Bechtel Gravity Roller Conveyors
S.A.Technology has designed, built, and tested a set of gravity roller conveyors for Bechtel National, Inc. These conveyors were installed at the Pueblo Chemical Agent-Destruction Pilot Plant (PCAPP) to store and transport pallets containing munitions of various sizes and weights. These gravity roller conveyors will help aid the Chemical Weapons Alternatives (ACWA) Program to demonstrate alternative technologies to destroy the chemical weapon stockpile at PCAPP. These conveyors provided a safe and controlled method for the transportation and storage of the stockpile of mortar rounds located at the PCAPP site.
The gravity roller conveyors included the fallowing features:
- Steel Framework
- Flow Rails with Rollers
- Pallet Guide Rails
- Pallet Stops
- Position Sensors to integrate with automated loading equipment
